You start to think of all these things that hold you back from taking action.
Maybe you are afraid to put yourself out there…
Maybe you are confused with what to do first…
Maybe you just don’t feel confident in yourself…
I’ve had all of those same thoughts (and I still do!).
A lot of times we hold ourselves back because we are afraid of what is going to happen because it’s something new or unfamiliar.
I read this quote a couple of months ago and it really made me stop and think about how I could change my perspective and behavior when I felt stuck.
“The guy who takes a chance, who walks the line between known and unknown, who is unafraid of failure, will succeed.” – Gordon Parks
Our fear of failure holds us back from taking action and leaves us in a place of feeling stuck or unsure of what to do.
I know it’s not the easiest thing to do, but if you commit to change within yourself you can slowly overcome your limiting beliefs or fear of failure.
This change means accepting that failure is an option. ⠀
I know that’s an unpopular opinion, but when you can accept the possibility of failure then you can push through your comfort zone and get past your fear of the unknown. ⠀
After reading that quote I took some time to really dig deep into all the things that I kept pushing down on my to-do list.
When I was able to accept the possibility of failure and understand that it would be okay to fail, I was able to push through the things that were holding me back.
In doing this, I was able to see clearly the actions I needed to take to get unstuck.
Once you can accept that it’s okay to fail you can keep moving forward. If you are feeling stuck right now, try the 3 tips below.
